PRESENTED BY LSU SHREVEPORT MILITARY COMMITTEE

National K9 Veterans Day:
DOG
6 p.m. March 10

In honor of National K9 Veterans Day, the LSU Shreveport Military Committee invites you to a special free screening of Dog at RFC. Join us as we honor the bravery, dedication, and enduring partnership of our nation’s K9 veterans!

National K9 Veterans Day recognizes the service and sacrifice of military working dogs who have served alongside our armed forces in missions around the world. These highly trained K9 partners play critical roles in detection, patrol, search and rescue, and combat operations—often placing themselves in harm’s way to protect their handlers and fellow service members.

Dog tells the story of a former Army Ranger and a Belgian Malinois military working dog who embark on a journey that highlights loyalty, healing, and the unique bond between handler and K9 partner. Comedy, 2022, 1h 41m, PG-13.

Following the screening, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a brief discussion reflecting on the legacy of military working dogs and their continued impact.

The screening will be in Theater 2, RFC’s 45-seat capacity theater. The screening is free to attend, but seating is limited. Advanced registration is strongly encouraged to ensure you will have a seat.
