Prize Fest 2026 Finalist Announcement
Watch Party at RFC
5:30 P.M. August 20
Filmmakers are patiently waiting to find out if they made it in the Top 20 for this year’s Louisiana Film Prize competition and an announcement is coming soon. This year, Prize Fest will be announcing all of the finalists for all of the festival components — film, food, music, and comedy — all at once! This all-inclusive reveal will be streamed live on Thursday, August 20th at 6pm through Prize’s website, YouTube channel, and Facebook and we’re hosting an epic Watch Party to celebrate at RFC!
Filmmakers, cast, crew, friends, and supporters are invited to join us at RFC to watch the live announcement together. A cash bar will be available. Come mingle and watch along as we find out who will be titled a finalist in this year’s Film Prize!
The event will be in RFC’s events space on the second floor — doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Louisiana Film Prize

Film Prize is the original Prize! Founded in 2012, Louisiana Film Prize incentivizes rising filmmakers with the opportunity to win $50,000 cash — the world’s largest cash prize for a short film. The festival presents 20 incredible shorts each year, made made in Louisiana by filmmakers from across the country. All year, filmmakers have been honing their projects and this is your chance to see the top 20, then cast your votes for the grand prize and best performance categories. Screenings will be available at multiple venues including Robinson Film Center.
