Regional Filmmakers Spotlight

Regional Filmmakers Spotlight is an ongoing series showcasing emerging and talented independent filmmakers from Louisiana and the South. It also highlights the growth of Louisiana’s indigenous independent film industry. The guest filmmaker shows his or her work to RFC patrons on a weeknight and participates in a Q&A.
Application process
Submit a Regional Filmmakers Spotlight application along with a copy of the film to be considered for exhibition. Feature films are shown alone. Shorts are presented in blocks, dependent on length. Only one screening per year for principal cast and crew. Film selection is decided by RFC Spotlight selection committee. Submit film on DVD, Blu-ray or online link. Include a stamped, self-addressed return envelope. The disc will be returned to filmmaker in the event it is not selected. If the film is selected for exhibition, the disc will be returned on the night of the screening. Final exhibition copy of film on DCP or Blu-ray is due 14 days before screening.
Screenings
Admission is $10.50 ($8.50 for RFC members). RFC will share 50% of the ticket revenue with the filmmaker. One screening only. Capacity for screening is 124.
