Join the LSU Shreveport Military Committee and Veteran Center in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have served our country this Veteran’s Day with a free screening of Oscar-winning war epic 1917. Students, faculty, staff, veterans, and community members are invited to come together for an evening of reflection and appreciation at RFC.

At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers. Directed by Sam Mendez. War/Action, 2019, 1h 59m, R.

The Screening will be held in Theater 2, RFC’s 45-seat capacity theater followed by a Q&A with LSUS History and Social Sciences Department associate professor, Dr. Blake Dunnavent. This screening is free to the public, but you must register to ensure you will have a seat.
