Activism in Action:
NORTH LOUISIANA RISING - The Queen Advocate Series
Step inside the lives of two Black women whose names echo through courtrooms, neighborhoods, and protest lines: Breka Peoples and Omari Ho-Sang. From court dates and jail time for getting Black men to the polls, to being branded a political “threat” for telling the truth about housing, poverty, and power—this film follows how their love for North Louisiana turned into a lifelong fight for justice. Documentary, 47m, NR.
The screening will take place in Theater 1, RFC’s 124-seat capacity theater, followed by a Q&A with Breka Peoples, Omari Ho-Sang, and Director Eugene Collins.
Robinson Film Center, in partnership with Mahogani Media, proudly presents the 2026 CineNoir: Black Voices in Film series!
