TEEN FILM COUNCIL APPLICATION

RFC’s Teen Film Council offers students in grades 10-12 an in-depth study of cinema. The Spring session will begin January 12, 2026 and conclude May 11, 2026. The group will meet Mondays from 4:30-6 p.m. at Robinson Film Center.

We’re looking for young voices that love film, seek art, and desire to build a community.

Students, you can either write a short essay (1-3 paragraphs) or make a video (1-2 mins) explaining why you want to join Teen Film Council. Be creative. You can share via Dropbox, Google Drive, or send us a link to a private YouTube video. Copy and paste the link to that video in the field provided below.

What should I put in my essay or video?

  • Favorite films/genres

  • How film has impacted your life

  • What aspects of filmmaking you’re interested in (ie- writing, directing, camera, acting, etc)

  • Any experience making films or videos?

  • What do you want to get out of this class?
