Giving to Robinson Film Center is fun. To prove it, we’re rewarding you with ’80s movie weekend VIP access if you’re one of the first members to join or renew by June 30! So what’s happening?

On July 17-19, we’ll screen four movies that defined a decade as part of the Totally Awesome ’80s Movie Marathon Weekend — Ghostbusters, The Breakfast Club, Beverly Hills Cop and Spaceballs, plus join our Friday night trivia dinner, pose in our photo booth and join our Saturday night music video donor party.

So what do you get if you join or renew? It starts with free movie tickets to the weekend (in addition to your regular annual benefits) – and gets better from there.

The important fine print: you will still get all of your annual member benefits in addition to your 80s weekend benefits. You cannot use regular movie passes or Golden Ticket passes to ’80s weekend, but all existing members will get member pricing on tickets and concessions. To be a weekend sponsor, you must renew at $1,000 or more between now and June 30.

We hope you love the ’80s – duh?!?! – and invite you to come party like it’s 1985.

80s Movie Trivia Dinner

Can you name more Brat Packers than U.S. presidents? Do you know what a flux capacitor is? If so, we just might have an ’80s Movie Trivia Crown with your name on it. Celebrate all things ’80s at this prescreening trivia dinner. We’ll be handing out prizes for trivia and for costumes, so be sure to show up in your raddest ’80s outfit. Members Club jacket anyone?

Family Matinee: Ghostbusters

12:30 p.m. July 18
Preshow with prizes starts at 12:15 p.m.
All tickets $5.50
Before the new Ghostbusters comes out next year, this is your chance to see the original on the big screen! Come early for games, prizes and photos!

Totally Awesome ’80s Sponsor Party

6-9 p.m. July 18
To thank our weekend sponsors and upper-level members, we’re throwing a party that’s more ’80s than Spuds MacKenzie. Tease your bangs, find your parachute pants, and join us for hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and night full of ’80s music videos. You haven’t had this much fun since Ronald Reagan was president.

The Rewind: Spaceballs

10 p.m. July 18

Our Rewind team will be on hand at the Saturday night Spaceballs screening with a Schwartztastic photo booth and in-theater trivia prizes. You can even get a slice of Pizza the Hutt at concessions!
