Mystic Pizza is a coming-of-age film starring Julia Roberts in an early role as one of three teenagers working at a pizza parlor in Mystic, Connecticut. This pizza parlor is famous for its secret ingredient! Our secret ingredient is Chef Tootie Morrison here to share with you her recipe for deep dish pizza which will pair perfectly with mixologist Allison Hollis’ Mystic Mule!

Chef Tootie’s Deep Dish Personal Pizzas
This recipe is very kid friendly! The beauty of this recipe is that you can make as many or as few as you want – they’re personal sized!
Ingredients
Frozen yeast rolls or bread loaves
Pizza sauce
Favorite Pizza Toppings (Tootie used pepperoni, cooked ground beef, diced onion, diced green bell pepper, pizza sauce, black olive and parmesan cheese)
Steps
Bring dough to room temperature and allow to rise.
On a nonstick surface flatten dough and top with pizza sauce and favorite toppings.
Bake at 425 for about 8 minutes or until cheese is melted and dough is golden brown. Enjoy!
Allison’s Mystic Mule
Ingredients
3 blackberries
2 medium sized basil leaves
1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 fresh lime juice
1/2 ginger beer
Ice cubes
Steps
In your cocktail glass muddle blackberries, then add vodka, and lime. Place basil in the palm of your hand and give it a clap to extract the oils before adding to your cocktail. Rip into thirds and stir into the mule.
Add ice and fill with ginger beer.
Garnish with leftover basil and berries!
